Step-by-Step: Duo Form Application with Builder Gel
The Instructions:
Step 1: Prep is Key!
Ensure your natural nails are clean, dry, and lightly buffed. Push back cuticles and remove any dust. Apply a thin layer of Base Gel and cure under your lamp for 30 seconds.
Step 2: Prep the Duo Form
Take your plastic duo form tip. Using a small brush or orangewood stick, scoop a small amount of your chosen Builder Gel from the jar.

Apply a thin layer of gel to the area of the form that will sit under your natural nail tip (the well).

Tip: Don’t use too much yet—you can always add, but you can’t take away!
Step 3: Apply and Flash Cure
Align the duo form onto your natural nail, pressing gently to ensure there are no bubbles and that the gel adheres to your nail plate. Flash cure for 10 seconds just to hold the form in place.
Step 4: The "Flip & Swipe" Technique (Crucial Step!)
Here is where you get a perfect structure:
Carefully turn your hand over so your palm is facing the ceiling (nail facing down). Gravity is your friend here!
Take a small, clean brush (you can dip it lightly in alcohol or cleanser to prevent sticking) and gently press or swipe the gel along the underside of the nail. This ensures the gel is evenly distributed along the stress area and creates a perfect C-curve without bumps.
Step 5: Full Cure
Once you are happy with the smoothness, flip your hand back over and place it in the lamp. Cure for a full 60 seconds.
Step 6: Pop and Shape
Gently remove the plastic duo forms. They should pop off easily.
Now it’s time to shape! Use a nail file to refine the free edge, define the shape (square, almond, etc.), and buff the surface lightly to remove any tacky residue.
Step 7: Shine and Seal
Wipe the nail with alcohol to remove dust. Finish with your favorite Top Coat for that ultimate glossy, protective layer. Cure according to your top coat's instructions.
